Toulouse: a young man already imprisoned confused by his DNA on several flights
A 21-year-old young man was heard by the police. This individual has, during several flights, left traces of his DNA behind him.
He is already serving a sentence at the Seysses remand center, but this 21-year-old young man was extracted in the middle of the week to be heard by the police from the unit for attacks on property on the left bank. Indeed, his DNA profile has “matched” in the context of several burglary cases. Its genetic profile is consistent in particular with a survey carried out last February during a theft from a trailer in Toulouse. His blood is notably found on the scene. In this vehicle, the individual steals in particular means of payment, a computer and a printer. He will explain to the investigators that he was just looking for a place to sleep.
A few weeks earlier, in the district of La Ramée in Toulouse, his prints were taken in an apartment. Various objects were stolen by this suspect. There again, the young man will explain to the investigators that he was simply looking for a place to spend the night in the warmth. Investigators also discover that his DNA also corresponds to a case of attempted theft in Toulouse last May. On this date, the footprints of this not very meticulous burglar are also found when the latter tried to steal objects from a garden shed but the owner managed to put him to flight. Finally, his blood was also recorded in June during an attempted theft on a vehicle. The respondent will leave empty-handed since the vehicle does not contain valuables. Like a refrain, this young man will justify his gesture by explaining that he was looking for a place to sleep. He was referred this Thursday morning to the Toulouse judicial court.
