Monaco revived, Bordeaux humiliated, ASSE shattered
The first five meetings of the 16th day of Ligue 1 have delivered their verdict. A rain of goals fell on all the lawns!
The big winners of the evening are called Monaco, Montpellier, Strasbourg and Troyes. We take stock.
Angers – Monaco: 1-3
The Monegasques made the break in the first period with goals from Boadu (25th) and Diop (45th), on two assists from Volland. Nuebel scored on his own after the break. But Disasi (73rd) ensured this clear victory for Monaco, which dates back to 7th place in the standings.
Brest – Saint-Etienne: 1-0
Fifth consecutive victory for Stade Brestois, it is a record in the history of the club! Romain Faivre scored the only but of this meeting on penalty (64th). The Breton club is now in 11th place. Saint-Etienne remains dead last.
Metz – Montpellier: 1-3
The Hérault people made the difference at the end of the first period by Savanier (36th) and Mavididi (45 + 1e)… then on return from the locker room by Wahi (48th). De Préville saves the honor of the Messins (70th), but does not avoid this logic which keeps the Lorrain in the penultimate place.
Strasbourg – Bordeaux: 5-2
Box of Julien Stephan’s men against the Girondins. Thomasson (22nd), Gameiro (43rd sp), Ajorque (45th + 1st), Lienard (48th) then Ajorque (65th) scored for the RCS. Hwang had yet opened the scoring for Bordeaux (7th). Elis reduced the mark a bit (57th). The Girondins point to an unworthy 18th place. Strasbourg is 6th!
Troyes – Lorient: 2-0
ESTAC won on goals from Ripart (7th) and Kouame (34th). Les Troyens are 15th in the standings, just ahead of Les Merlus.
