AHRESP asks for extension of the Turismo de Portugal line
AN This Tuesday, the Portuguese Hotel, Catering and Similar Association (AHRESP) defended the extension of the grace period for the microcredit line of Turismo de Portugal, in order to meet the needs of companies.
“Although Turismo de Portugal extended the grace period to June 30, 2022, all temporary grace contracts expired until March 31, 2022 (according to Normative Dispatch No. 8/2021 of March 3), AHRESP calls for a new extension of the grace period, and that all contracts currently in force only start their payments from July 1, 2023“, says AHRESP in the latest daily newsletter.
The Association recalls that Turismo de Portugal’s microcredit line, created right at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, “has been successively reinforced, revealing itself as one of the main instruments to support the treasury of our companies”.
“The recent measures announced by the Government, as well as the generalized climate of loss of confidence in consumers and tourists, are once again disrupt the business of our companies, so it is of utmost urgency to reinforce the support to the treasury, such as the extension of the grace period of the Turismo de Portugal line for another year”, understands AHRESP.
