Rouen continues, Grenoble is a hit
Qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Rouen did well in the Magnus League with Mulhouse on Friday. But the leader remains Grenoble, which dominated Cergy.
Even if the party was good after their historic qualification for the quarter-finals of the Champions League (a first for a French club) on Wednesday, Rouen quickly returned to the Magnus League, and this Friday on behalf of the 23rd day, the Dragons (3rd) made short work of Mulhouse, penultimate. Despite a first third without a goal, they were successful by scoring four but in eight minutes, for a final score of 6-0 with achievements of Kelsey Tessier (28th), Joris Bedin (36th, 41st), Loïc Lamperier (45th), David Gilbert (45th) and Rolands Vigners (49th). Ten points ahead of Rouen (and with three more games played), Grenoble is still the leader, after its great 5-1 victory to the detriment of Cergy (4th). Nicolas Deschamps (12th, 36th), Flavian Dair (14th), Sacha Treille (18th) and Joël Champagne (48th) scored the goals of the Brûleurs de Loups, while Denny Kearney opened the scoring for the Jokers in the 9th.
Angers overthrows Gap
Angers is third, following a great 4-3 success on the ice of Gap, fifth. Nicolas Ritz opened the score for the Dukes in the 13th, then Mathieu Mony (25th), Benjamin Lagarde (32nd) and Dimitri Thillet (33rd) gave the Rapaces a good lead, before the Angevins won thanks to three goals in the last third, signed Teo Sarlieve (48th), Robin Gaborit (56th) and Tommy Giroux (58th). Bordeaux (6th) won their third game in a row, against Chamonix (10th) 2-1 after being led 1-0 until eight minutes to go (but from Christian Silfver in the 31st for the Pioneers, goals from Louis Belisle in the 53rd and Kevin Spinozzi in the 57th for the Boxers). In a soft-bellied match, Nice (7th) got the better of Amiens (8th) with a score of 3-2, thanks to Ondrej Kopta (9th), Loïc Chabert (14th) and Romain Carpentier (40th), against goals from Tomas Simonsen (15th) and Stanislav Lopachuk (35th) for the Goths.
Anglet at the end of the night
Finally, the most outstanding match of the evening opposed Anglet, ninth, to the red lantern Briançon, and the Basques won 4-3 after the penalty shootout. The score was 3-3 after regulation time and extra time, following goals from Nicolas Arrossamena (22nd), Peter Hrehorcakk (27th) and Juho Makela (31st) for Anglet, while Charles Schmitt had signed a triple (37th, 53rd, 55th) for Briançon, and the Basques managed two of their shots on goal, against none for the Red Devils, who remain last.
