Sweden extends entry ban – recognizes vaccination passports from 5 third countries
Swedish authorities have introduced an entry ban for unvaccinated arrivals from Ukraine and Singapore, as the countries have been removed from the list of safe trips by the EU.
In addition, following a recommendation from the EU Council, entry restrictions will be lifted for arrivals from Indonesia, reports SchengenVisaInfo.com.
However, the entry ban will not apply to fully vaccinated arrivals from Singapore and Ukraine, as both countries are connected to the EUDDC gateway, which means that vaccination certificates issued in these countries are equivalent to EU digital covid certificates.
In addition, from 30 November, the government will grant unrestricted entry for fully vaccinated arrivals from New Zealand, Serbia, Georgia, Moldova and Singapore, as vaccination certificates issued in these countries are recognized as equally valid for the EUDCC.
In accordance with the recently updated list of countries arriving from which are not obliged to comply with the entry ban, travelers from Ukraine and Singapore will be able to skip the test requirement when they enter Sweden. Otherwise, they must present valid proof of vaccination to be allowed in the country.
