Covid19. Health pass: the prefect will strengthen controls in Toulouse and Haute-Garonne

While thea fifth wave hit the Hexagon head-on and the number of contaminations exploded throughout France, controls will redouble.
Due to the worsening health situation, the prefect Etienne Guyot announces a strengthening of the controls of pass sanitary a Toulouse and in Haute-Garonne.
“A strong acceleration” of the virus
The prefect of Haute-Garonne underlines this Friday, November 26 that there is ” a sharp acceleration in the spread of the Covid-19 virus ” in the departement.
“As of November 26, 2021, there is an incidence rate of 201.4 positive cases per 100,000 people in the department while on November 3, 2021, it was 48.5 cases per 100,000 people . This rate therefore quadrupled in 3 weeks” , highlighted Etienne Guyot. In Toulouse, the incidence rate is 177.5 cases / 100,000 inhabitants.
Reinforcement of controls
The prefect indicates: “In this context, it is imperative to continue to respect barrier gestures and to enforce the health pass so that it can fully produce its effects on the Covid epidemic, in order to promote the return to normal social life ”.
“This is why the internal security forces in Haute-Garonne will strengthen controls from tomorrow in public places subject to the obligation of the health pass. These controls will relate to customers and managers.”
