Salzburger Eiszauber opens in the middle of lockdown
After a short break, the Eiszauber will open its doors again in the Salzburg Volksgarten on Saturday. This makes ice skating outdoors possible again. The corona-related measures will, however, be tightened, as the city of Salzburg announced in a broadcast.
Ice skating in lockdown
“The fourth lockdown demands a lot from people again. With the Eiszauber we can offer many people, including many children and families, the opportunity to exercise in a wonderful atmosphere, ”said Salzburg’s Vice-Mayor Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ).
Good experience with Eiszauber
“We have incorporated positive experiences from the ice skating operations from the last lockdown into the planning. I am therefore convinced that we can ensure safe ice skating with the current measures. Of course, we will continuously evaluate the process and adapt processes, ”adds Roland Oberhauser, head of the municipal operations.
Ice skating with 2-G restriction
Access to the mobile ice skating circuit is still only available to vaccinated and convalescent people (2-G). Tickets can only be purchased via the Webshop to be bought. They are only valid for the period (morning or afternoon slot) for which they were purchased. 10 and 25 block cards that have already been purchased are still valid. This could avoid waiting times in the checkout area.
A maximum of 200 ice skaters per “Ice Age” are allowed on the ice. The Eiszauber is open in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and in the afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
No corona test necessary for children
Children up to the age of 12 are exempt from the G-proof requirement and therefore do not need a test result. The following applies to children and young people between 13 and 15 years of age (school age): The ninja pass is provided to the 2-G certificate and is therefore also valid as proof of equal status. After the end of the ninth school year, when & also young people have a 2-G certificate.
