Europa League (Grpe B): Qualified Monaco, PSV and Sociedad will play for qualification
AS Monaco validated their qualification this Thursday, November 25, 2021 by beating Real Sociedad. The French club won at home with a score of 2 but 1. In the other group B meeting, the Dutch easily overcame Sturm with a score of 2-0.
Monaco advance to the knockout stages of the Europa League and Sturm Graz is eliminated. PSV Eindhoven and Real Sociedad will face off on the final day for the second qualifying ticket. In Eindhoven, PSV assumed their favorite status against the little thumb Sturm Graz. The Dutch club beat the Austrians 2-0. Carlos Vinícius opened the scoring in the 45th minute. Then Bruma sealed the victory in the 55th minute of play. PSV Eindhoven took second place with 8 points behind Monaco who totaled 11 points. Real Sociedad suffered their first away defeat and remain in ambush with 6 points. Matchday 6 match between Real Sociedad and PSV will be the group final for the last ticket. The Austrians are eliminated with 1 point.
