The new reelected president of the CCI Rouen Métropole, Vincent Laudat, detailed the main objectives of the 2021-2026 mandate, Tuesday 23 November 2021, on the occasion of the installation of his office made up of 50 business leaders. If the rate of participation in the votes was particularly low, 10.45%, Vincent Laudat prefers to deduce that “the business leaders answer that the CCI will always be at their service, and that is the essential”. It supports 30,775 companies in the territories of Rouen, Dieppe and Elbeuf, mainly in the field of services (49%), but also trade (36%) and industry (15%).
New generation reactors at Penly
One of the priorities on which the CCI Rouen Métropole is already focusing is the decarbonization of energy. It is illustrated by the future construction of two EPRs – these new generation reactors which only use small quantities of material to create a large quantity of electricity – at the Penly site, near Dieppe. In general, the CCI says it helps SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and very small enterprises (very small enterprises), which do not have as easily access to ecological solutions as large groups, on the issues of sustainable development and recycling. .
The brand image of the future Fauchon school
Training is also one of the priorities, in particular through two prestigious schools on the Rouen territory: Neoma Business School, recently ranked 7e management and economics school in France, and the Fauchon school, which has not yet opened its doors. “Training is an important success factor. We are maintaining the attractiveness of the Rouen campus of Neoma, where 100 nationalities are present, ”explains Vincent Laudat. For its part, the Fauchon school, with its brand image, will shine internationally.
The budget allocated to the Rouen Métropole CCI was 30 million euros in 2021, and the results are positive, according to Vincent Laudat. “82% of business leaders [du réseau] found that CCI had benefited their business. “The idea now, in addition to continuing to support entrepreneurs at all stages (creation of a company, takeover, transfer, financing, development, etc.), is to promote Normandy,” a small region , but very dynamic ”. As Annie Grenier, a member of the board, reminds us, the territory is diversified, notably with the presence of automotive, agrifood, electronics, petrochemical companies, but also maritime transport.
