Three years of Hřib’s reign in Prague

The mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib, his fellow parties and coalition partners have had three years of capital rule, and this is a time in which it is quite fair to assess whether their decisions have led to a better life for Prague residents.
I don’t think so in many examples. I will give a few examples.
The most pressing topic is non-transparent IT contracts. In the field, which is the responsibility of the mayor himself. The department, which is led by another Pirate, the Central Bohemian representative Milan Krch, spent 109 million crowns through small-scale contracts. However, they have a limit in entering up to 2 million crowns. IT consulting contracts for tens of millions executed in a non-transparent manner through the city company OperatorICT are also controversial.
But the domain of this coalition is obviously also transport. During its rich history, Prague has not experienced so many traffic collapses as in the last three years, when Adam Scheinherr from the Prague movement, Jan Čižínský, sits in the chair of the Deputy Minister for Transport. Its non-conceptual solution full of deadlines, changes of directions, many repairs accumulated in one locality is paid for mainly by ordinary inhabitants of Prague, who unexpectedly get stuck in more than repeated columns. Their anger is usually not borne by the municipality, but by the relevant part of the city, which is conceivable, but they have not decided on any of it. But Prague was filled with cycle lanes, often leading directly under the wheels of cars or out of nowhere.
The evergreen of this coalition is rising prices. They are really good at it. They have already increased rents in city apartments, the price of water and sewer even again. The real estate tax is also higher, we will pay extra in public transport, in P + R car parks and on the cable car on Petřín.
In conclusion, although there is a lot of living in Prague, but also a much more expensive standard of living and, last but not least, the main flooding of the city in recent months, the main collection has so far been satisfactorily addressed by the municipality.
But not to be critical, I consider the project for the construction of cooperative housing from the workshop of councilor Hana Kordová Marvanová to be a very good decision.
