Service providers monitored the outflow of customers before the measures were tightened
According to the company’s CEO Petr Kuck, Gentlemen Brothers has been recording a decrease in customers over the last three weeks, a decrease of 20 to 30 percent. According to Kucky, the reason is, in addition to work from home and canceled social events, also the cancellation of paid preventive tests for coronavirus from public health insurance.
The Gentlemen Brothers did not make Kuck more expensive, because they are already among the dear ones. However, he admitted that due to rising input costs, they would need to increase prices. But they don’t plan to yet. According to Kucky, Gentlemen Brothers customers are mostly from the middle and upper class, they do not think that they would give up the visit due to their own savings.
According to its owners, the LUQY studio in Prague, which focuses on body care, has few new customers recently. According to her, government restrictions and price increases are to blame, although LUQY has not yet reached it. “There is a significant decrease in customers. Mainly due to closures and measures, they have reduced services involuntarily, and now we also see that I have to save.” As for the new regulations, customers warn this when ordering, most people are vaccinated.
According to the company’s chief operating officer Jaroslav Zonyga, about 30 percent less people go to the Saunia network of sauna worlds than if anti-epidemic measures did not apply. Saunia, as far as possible, offered the customer an antigen test on site using self-test kits for 50 crowns. According to Zonyga, about five percent of the visitors used these opportunities.
Aquapalace Praha in Čestlice is also expected to see a drop in attendance due to the abolition of recognition of coronavirus tests, its CEO Vladana Horáková told ČTK. Here they provided visitors with free antigen tests.
From today, unvaccinated people will not be able to enter the service, but also to mass cultural or sports events. The government should discuss compensation for entrepreneurs in the early evening. According to the Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček (YES), the COVID 2021, COVID Uncovered Costs and Compensation Bonus programs are expected to be renewed. For all, the entry requirement should be a condition of turnover by 30 percent compared to 2019.
According to Kuck, the planned compensations are not good if they are to compare the period from this year and in the same way two years ago. According to him, the barber shop in particular is developing very well, so if it opens new branches, they will achieve logically higher sales, even though they have losses due to anti-epidemic measures, he added.
