The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of San Marino, Luca Beccari, is today on an official visit to Israel, accompanied by a delegation made up of officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
As explained by the Secretariat, one morning the Secretary of State was received “in an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual esteem by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Yair Lapid, with whom he developed an extensive discussion on the issues of the bilateral relationship and on the current challenges, pandemic emergency in the first place “.
At the center of the talks “the common desire to strengthen the already excellent bilateral relations, moreover linked by historical and cultural affinities.
Significant importance was accorded by both parties to the collaboration in the area technological, – writes the Secretariat – which sees Israel at the forefront of its development processes, with particular reference to the theme of IT security, which will be deepened tomorrow through a meeting with the Head of the Strategic Division for International Cooperation and a visit to the Israeli National Cybernetics Directorate “.
Collaboration also discussed on the subject of environmental protection, “with particular reference to water resources management policies and power renewable.
The official visit also presented an opportunity to present San Marino in its peculiarities of Safe country, competitive, attractive and compliant with international standards and for mutual investment opportunities “.
An in-depth discussion was also held on the respective policies of completion and integration with the EU; at multilateral level, the opportunity to strengthen collaboration was agreed “.
In the late morning the Delegation visited the “Yad Vashem”, Israeli national body that deals with the commemoration and study of the Holocaust in Jerusalem, within which the Secretary of State hoped to strengthen the existing collaboration, also placing a commemorative wreath in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
In the afternoon the cultural visits of the Delegation will continue in Jerusalem.
