In Žižkov you will perform U Prdlavky, the stop is reminiscent of a film master
An untraditionally named marker today revealed the screenwriter of the film, Zdeněk Svěrák. He also symbolically pushed the Velorex vehicle at the stop.
Precisely because of the specific sound of the canvas car engine, the character of actor Josef Abrham received the nickname Prdlavka.
The U Prdlavky stop is one of the seven new stops on the extended bus line number 101. It will run from the Slovinská via Perunova and Jiřího z Poděbrad stops via the brand new U Prdlavky and Rajská zahrada Park stops to the Viktoria Žižkov final stops. The name of the football club is now appropriated by the Husinecká tram stop.
“Representatives of the Prague 3 district have been using the Prague 3 district for many years to implement this line. Public transport connections between the areas of nám. Jiří z Poděbrad and Dolní Žižkov are completely missing today. You either have to take a tram with a transfer to Flora or just walk. The extended line 101 significantly shortens our distances and also brings us closer to the Vršovice area. The connection of bus 101 to the new pedestrian connection at the Main Railway Station is also attractive and will also serve students at the University of Economics in Prague, “said Ondřej Rut, Deputy Mayor of the Prague 3 district.
According to ROPID director Petr Tomčík, the line will run at half-hour intervals, shortened to 20 minutes on weekdays at weekdays. “From Vršovice, line 101 continues via Bohdalec, Záběhlice and Zahradní Město na Skalku, at peak hours it continues to the industrial zone in Hostivař to the final stops of Zentiva,” added Tomčík.
The sign of the U Prdlavky stops has disappeared after the ceremonial unveiling, it is to return with operation from 2 December:
