The trail, created by Zhytomyr runners, is included in the Book of Records of Ukraine
The “Forest Ukraine” running trail, created by amateur Zhytomyr runners in Zarichansky forestry, has been entered in the Book of Records of Ukraine. The author of the idea, amateur runner Yuri Milovanov, speaks about this to the Public.
According to him, in the category “Dimensions” their trail “Forest Ukraine” was recognized as the largest forest trail in the form of maps of Ukraine. The length of this trail is 10 kilometers.
“We paved the trail in 2020, presenting it on the Independence Day of Ukraine. I have long created routes for myself and my friends in the form of different drawings. I wanted to do something special. In Ukraine there are trails and bicycle routes made from different drawings. Our trail is distinguished by the fact that we really paved it – we had to clear the bushes, picking down fallen trees, raking the leaves. Our entire team of 23 people did their own thing. which help us to clear the path, and now maintain it in good condition, “says Yuri Milovanov.

Each of the 23 team members who worked on teaching the trail received their diplomas from the Book of Records of Ukraine. Yuri Milovanov told the correspondents of the Public that he has the idea of another path, which will be larger – so as to get into the World Book of Records.
“I read somewhere that a Belarusian in Sevastopol set a record, and this record was set by Russia. And then I decided that we need to create another path in the contours of Ukraine – too big to get into the Guinness Book of Records to the whole world. I was able to know what Ukraine looks like on the map, and Crimea, like Donetsk and Luhansk regions, is Ukraine, not Russia, ”says the athlete.

Currently, Yuri Milovanov and his team are still working on the idea – they are already starting work on a 50-kilometer forest trail in the form of maps, which begins in Barashivka and extends to the Denysh of Ukraine.
This is a bit too long for runners, so we are currently negotiating with one of the ATV clubs, says Yuri Milovanov. With its drain, in the future the trail can be used by anyone.
