Corona demonstrations also in Salzburg and Bregenz
In Vorarlberg’s state capital Bregenz On Sunday afternoon around 5,000 people demonstrated against the upcoming lockdown and the announced compulsory vaccination. The participants in the rally – apparently including many from Germany and Switzerland – marched under the motto “Against the division, we stick together”. Incidents were not known for the time being, the police said on request.
In the early afternoon the demonstration gathered near the train station and from there through the city and across the square in front of the festival hall and along the lake promenade to the harbor. The demonstrators chanted their concerns at the appropriate volume, accompanied by the ringing of cowbells or the sound of drums and whistles. A poster called for the resignation of the Vorarlberg provincial government and the liability of governor Markus Wallner (ÖVP) because of “forced labor”. Very few of the participants adhered to the FFP2 mask requirement. Distance rules were also not observed.
1,300 demonstrators in Salzburg

The demonstration was peaceful.
The rally route led from Mozartplatz over Getreidegasse and Müllnersteg to Mirabellplatz and over the Staatsbrücke back to the starting point. During the march, communications officers pointed out the applicable corona rules. A police spokesman said there were a few reports of not wearing the FFP2 mask.
In Linz around 5,000 people came to a demonstration organized by MFG on Sunday. The participants marched through the state capital with highly questionable signs. Even hours after the end of the event, groups of opponents of measures were still out and about in the city center.
