While the festivities began in Esch-sur-Alzette or in the capital of Luxembourg, a border town has announced that it will soon host its Christmas market.
This will take place from November 27 to December 19, 2021 a Dudelange, near the Lorraine border and will be fully subject to the health pass.
A medieval atmosphere at the market
A winter fair will open the ball on November 27. Rides and candy stands will be set up on the “Am Duerf” square until December 19.
It will then be followed by the traditional Christmas market. But we will have to be patient because it will be open from December 10 to 19 on the Place de l’Hotel-de-Ville. It will be made up of typical chalets which offer you their gift ideas as well as typical Christmas dishes and drinks ”, explains the City.
The latter also specifies that part of the market will be reserved for the medieval atmosphere with “its campfire and traditional dishes from the Middle Ages ”.
Traditional food for the end of the year celebrations
Chalets will also be present on the forecourt of the Nei Liicht Art Center from December 13 to 18. You can enjoy “Kniddelen” (traditional gnocchi), hot chestnuts, spicy apple juice or mulled wine without alcohol.
