By recalling the saint Líbezničtí, it will complete the transformation of a part of the village
According to Mayor Martin Kupka (ODS), who is also the statutory deputy governor of Central Bohemia and now also a candidate for the post of Minister of Transport, the village joins the celebrations commemorating the alleged 1,100 years since the assassination of St. Ludmila in Tetín. “According to historical documents, St. Ludmila Líbeznice to drive on the way to Pšov, “stated Kupka. He thus referred to speculations that Ludmila, the wife of Prince Bořivoj and the grandmother of St. Václav, who also stood on the prince’s throne, could have been the origin of Pšovanek – that is, he came from the current Mělník.
Regarding the hot present, Kupka stated: “A modern, modest chapel crowns a very sensitive reconstruction of the historic part of the village.” . The proposal for what is to be done was not born of local debates. In 2018, an architectural competition was held, in which the designs of several important Czech artists came together. The vision of the Ehl & Koumar Architects studio won.
One of the authors of the design, Tomáš Koumar, recalled what is here, not far from Prague, the main idea: a village idyll. “We were looking for inspiration in a traditional rural area; rediscovers typical features such as a bench on the doorstep, a well at the crossing, a chapel in the village square, grass passing through a stone path leading to the house, a dog barking at the neighbors behind the wall and gossiping grandmothers sitting nearby, ”Koumar paints with his past picture his team tried to transfer to the present. Although the words of his colleague Jana Vichorcová, which present small architectural elements, it may not be obvious at first glance that we were in 2021: “The water in the U Kola well turns, the dog wets its snout in a bucket; there is a chapel in the middle of the village square, it would remind the people of Pánbíček. “
On the contrary, a new transport solution speaks the current language, which, according to the mayor, increases traffic safety with minimal restrictions for local residents. U Kola and Na Hůrce streets will create a one-way loop, while the exit from the locality will lead from Hůrce street, where there is a sufficient view of Zdibská street.
