Krakow / Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science AGH has a new building
Modern workshops and laboratories as well as lecture and seminar sales – this is how the new building of the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science of AGH in Krakow, which can be used by this university, is available.
The symbolic opening of the new building of the AGH University of Science and Technology was made on Thursday by the rector of the university, prof. Jerzy Lis and the dean of the Faculty of Physics and Computer Science, prof. Bartholomew Szafran.
The investment cost about PLN 40 million, of which it came from the rector’s reserve. The building has approx. 3 thousand. meters of space (from the basement, where the car park and radioactive storage facilities are located).
“The building consists of three out of six: physics, medical physics and biophysics, department of higher and higher computer physics and the department of theoretical physics – our cathedral departments. Szafran. As he added, there are 49 offices in it, currently working there, 60 researchers and educators, and 24 doctors.
The new investment will also include 13 teaching and teaching laboratories. On the ground floor there are, among others Mutual experiences, mutual experiences and mutual experiences. On the first floor of the first laboratory, in the second, the second laboratory, incl. emanation of the trace analysis laboratory. The next floors house three computer labs for students, as well as lecture and seminar sales.
“We can access beautiful free studios at our disposal, we are proud to ask our candidates for studies” – the dean. he assured that thanks to the modern building it was possible to create the creation of technicians, engineers and information about the appropriate conditions for conducting education and research.
The AGH UST Rector admitted, in turn, that the construction, as modern and adapted to the needs, was “what was the dream of all who wanted to create this wonderful faculty, the leading one only at the university, but also in Poland”.
“We are probably all touched and we all have this moment that is truly historic, when in the history of AGH UST we add new ones, improve, learn, develop and perfect” – he said. Nov. (PAP)
