Toulouse City Council: Citizen Archipelago explodes
It’s official, Archipel Citoyen, the opposition group to the Toulouse City Council, is split into two new groups. Two other elected members of the movement are also now unregistered.
The announcement of the Archipel Citoyen group to the Toulouse City Council was awaited. Since the beginning of the week, we knew that Hélène Magdo (rebellious France) was going to leave him and that several new entities were going to emerge. It is now official, without there being any question of any agreement. “We are convinced that our different approaches to a municipal opposition need to find their full expression to strengthen our actions”, consider the elected officials in their press release.
Two new opposition groups
Citizen Archipelago therefore splits in two. With, on the one hand, the Toulouse Ecologist, Solidarity and Citizen Group, whose members are Michèle Bleuse, Hélène Cabanes, Romain Cujives, Isabelle Hardy and Antoine Maurice (group president). And, on the other hand, the Alternative Municipalist Citizen Group, whose members are Aymeric Deheurles, Jamal El Arch, Caroline Honvault, Maxime Le Texier (group co-president), Odile Maurin, François Piquemal and Agathe Roby (co-president of group).
Two elected unregistered
Of the 14 elected Citizen Archipelago collective, two are therefore now non-registered: Hélène Magdo and Julienne Mukabucyana. “Strong and strong in our diversity, with this new organization, we reaffirm our desire to forge an effective opposition and to propose ambitious actions with and for Toulouse residents. (…) As we are already doing in the Metropolis, we continue to use our voices and our skills to convey another vision of the future of Toulouse ”, concludes the press release.
