MINSK, 18 Nov – Sputnik. The ministries of energy of Belarus and Russia discussed issues of cooperation in the field of electricity.
A working meeting between Deputy Energy Minister of Belarus Denis Moroz and Deputy Energy Minister of the Russian Federation Pavel Snikkars took place in the Belarusian capital today, during which issues of relevance for bilateral cooperation in the format of the Union State and issues of the EAEU were discussed.
The specialists examined the economic component of the parallel operation of the electricity market both on the territory of Belarus and in Russia.
“The parties also discussed the progress of preparation of the draft interstate agreement on the formation of the unified electricity market of the Union State,” the press service of the Ministry of Energy noted.
“For us, bilateral relations are very important in terms of building our positions, including within the framework of what is going on between our states within the EAEU,” noted Pavel Snikkars.
