After losing in his first two outings in the European League, Aix fell on his floor against Sävehof. For their part, Nîmes, Toulouse and Nantes have imposed themselves.
The Stations of the Cross in Aix continue in the European League. Third for Liqui Moly StarLigue tied on points with Nantes after its victory in Montpellier last weekend, the PAUC cannot find the solution in the European League. After stumbling against Nexe and then Magdeburg, the Aixois again bowed during the reception of Sävehof. The fault of a first period completely missed by the teammates of Baptiste Barthélémy (4 goals on 4 shots). In the first eleven minutes, the Provencal could only score two goals against eight for the teammates of Rune Schoder (6 goals on 8 shots). A significant delay which was not reduced before returning to the locker room. The second act started on the same basis with the gap between the two teams which exceeded the ten mark but a quarter of an hour from the end of the meeting. The match being folded at the edge of the last ten minutes, Sävehof eased off, which allowed Aix to finish on a 5-0 to lose five lengths (25-30).

Nantes starts from the front
After their home defeat against Lemgo, Nantes did not let themselves be doubted on the occasion of the reception of the Danish club GOG. After a very tight start to the match between the two teams, it was not until the very last moments of the first period to see Dragan Pechmalbec (4 goals on 5 shots) and Alexandre Cavalcanti (3 goals on 6 shots) give three goals. advance to “H” at halftime. An ascendancy that Alberto Entrerrios’ players then patiently carved out at the start of the second period. Three consecutive goals on the edge of the last quarter of an hour then offered Nantes a margin of six lengths … reached the teammates of Jerry Tollbring (9 goals on 12 shots) immediately responded. But the Nantes, some of their strength, continued on their launch to regain this gap of six goals. However, a late freewheeling match only allowed GOG to lose three lengths (27-24). A second victory in three games which allows Nantes to come back to the height of its victim of the evening and to stay two points behind Benfica, undefeated leader of the group.

Nîmes passes in front of Sporting
Nîmes, for its part, left aside the bad memory of receiving AEK Athens to end Sporting Portugal’s invincibility. A meeting that Mohamed Sanad’s teammates (7 goals out of 10 shots) started well but the gap never took off above two goals during the first quarter of an hour. It was then that the Lisbon club announced to the “Green Team” a 3-0 to get ahead of the score for the first time. The Gardois responded quickly to resume their march forward and reach half-time with two goals in advance. An advantage which then fluctuated between one and three goals until the 40th minute. It was then that Martim Mota da Costa’s teammates (5 goals on 8 shots) signed a new 3-0 to get back in front. But it will not have lasted more than 120 seconds. Nîmes was able to get back in front of the score before breaking away irreparably during the last seven minutes, with a 5-1 to finish. USAM won by six lengths (33-27) and took the lead of the group tied on points with Sporting Portugal and AEK Athens.
