Days for equality | Rouen Normandy metropolis
As part of the Month of Tolerance, the MJC associations of Elbeuf and Rouen gauche are organizing gesticulated conferences on November 18 and 25 on living together.
Refuse the hiring or access to housing of a person because of his age or his skin color … daily examples of discrimination abound. The Metropolis continues to fight against discrimination and prejudice by promoting or supporting actions carried out by municipalities or associations as part of the Month of Tolerance in November. The Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture (MJC) associations of the Elbeuf and Rouen Left Bank region participate in this event through two gesticulated conferences open to all.
Discussion with the audience
“We are organizing, at the Elbeuf MJC on Thursday, November 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., a gesticulated conference I should have called myself Aïcha, on the theme of identity. A hybrid meeting halfway between conference and theater, on the integration journey of a woman from Algerian immigration. The idea is to initiate a discussion with the public on dual culture and integration, ”explains Séverine Cloutier, director of the MJC for the Elbeuf region. Another gesticulated conference takes place at the left MJC Rouen, on Friday November 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cinderella on strike broached the subject of feminism. “Other activities are planned, such as the training of MJC facilitators by anti-racism associations or meetings for young people aged 11 to 17 around radio podcasts on the theme of living together. “
