CP and CE1 students return to their pre-covid or primary level
Significant increase in results for CP and CE1 students who took assessments last September. The Toulouse Academy emphasizes that schoolchildren have regained their level before the health crisis (start of the 2019 school year) or even exceeded it.
“Have a good start to the year, keep it up!” This could be the overall assessment of the students of CP and CE1 of the Academy of Toulouse. Evaluated in the main subjects in September 2021, they obtained good results according to the rectorate which underlines an improvement in the level of the students.
As a direct consequence of covid, confinement and home schooling, the level of CP and CE1 had fallen. He has now returned to the 2019 level and even surpassed it in several skills indicated in the Toulouse Academy (ex: letter recognition, knowledge of numbers in CP, problem solving in CE1).

The students of CP and CE1 “found levels of results equivalent to those of the start of the 2019 school year, or even higher,” writes the Toulouse academy.
Also improved results compared to 2018 for CPs in letter recognition and number writing. Same trend for CE1s who are improving compared to 2018 in reading words aloud and writing whole numbers.
According to the Ministry of National Education, these results have led to “an improvement in the level of, beyond the occasional and profound effects of the health crisis”.
