Back on the Rock after eight months of absence, Charlene’s fragile health does not yet allow her to participate in official outings. In his absence, the Monaco family appears more united than ever.
While Charlene was eagerly awaited on the balcony of the palace on the occasion of Monaco’s National Day, on November 19, a press release revealed that his health ultimately does not allow him to participate in the event. A blow for the royal family which appears despite everything very united.
“His medical history having been trying in recent months, announced the official press release published by the royal palace on Tuesday, November 16. Princess Charlene will unfortunately not be able to participate in the National Day festivities this year alongside her family. As soon as his health allows him, it will be with joy that the princess will once again share moments of conviviality with the Monegasques ”.
Charlene being absent for eight months, retained in South Africa by a severe infection of the ENT area, in turn, the princesses Stéphanie and Caroline took turns, and continue to do so, to support Albert during his official engagements on the Rock and elsewhere.
The prince’s sisters play a key role
This week, the Monegasque prince traveled to Dubai to visit Expo 2020 where Monaco was in the spotlight. He was accompanied by his sister Stéphanie, his niece Camille Gottlieb and his nephew Louis Ducruet who came with his wife, Marie. On October 16, it was in the company of his sister Caroline that Albert appeared at the 52nd edition of the International Bouquets Competition organized by the Garden Club in Monaco. Proof that the prince’s sisters play a key role in the absence of Charlene.
During an interview with the magazine People in October, Albert had given reassuring news about his wife’s state of health but since her return she has been discreet. The princess left the time of her convalescence in a private clinic whose name remains secret during her stay for security reasons. To date, no official release has yet been announced for Charlène.
