The company Praha 6 SNEO filed a criminal complaint and a lawsuit over the sale of land
Prague – SNEO, the sole shareholder is Prague 6, filed a notice in September regarding the sale of municipal land at Na Dračkách Street. In November, the company also filed a civil lawsuit against former members of the company’s board of directors, who served in the company in 2018. This was announced at today’s meeting of the Prague 6 City Council by Prague 6 councilor and chairman of the SNEO service company Zdeněk Hořánek (STAN).
In 2018, the municipal company SNEO sold the land to the company DRA development, which belongs to the Penta group. The land included a housing project, which the town hall previously intended to carry out. The originally agreed price of 436 million crowns was subsequently reduced to 402 million crowns due to restitution savings. The Pirates of Prague 6 filed a criminal complaint due to the granted discount of 34 million crowns for the sale of land in 2019. In January 2020, the police postponed the investigation.
According to Hořánek, the SNEO company filed a criminal complaint on September 24 this year. However, according to the Prague 6 councilor, the police postponed the investigation into the suspicion of committing a crime, saying that the matter had previously been investigated on the basis of a criminal report filed by the Pirates and postponed the case last January. In November, according to its chairman, SNEO filed a civil lawsuit against the then members of the board. According to Hořánek, the reason is that during the sale of land in Na Dračkách Street, the then management of the company did not act with the care of a proper manager. Hořánek filing a civil action taking into account “uncertain outcome of criminal proceedings” described as “the only way to prevent the right to damages from lapse”. According to the general meeting of the company, ie the council of Prague 6, the company was established through the sale of the Dračka complex for CZK 402 million.
The area where the land is located and where the new owner wants to build apartment buildings is a former brownfield on the border between Ořechovka and Veleslavín. Before the 2014 elections, the town hall announced a contract for 1.1 billion for the construction of apartments. In the end, it canceled it, with the next political representation deciding on the next step, which decided to sell, referring to the analysis of the consulting company Deloitte. The procedure was criticized by the opposition, saying that the city district had a project ready with a building permit, and flats could be provided to young families or representatives of the necessary professions.
The service company SNEO, in which the only shareholder is the city district of Prague 6, deals primarily with property management and maintenance.
