High-risk area Austria: Rosenheim Federal Police Checks at border controls Compliance with registration and verification obligations
Austria has been classified as a high-risk area by the Robert Koch Institute since Sunday, November 14th. This classification has consequences for travelers who want to travel from Austria to Germany. In their area of responsibility between Chiemsee and Zugspitze, the Rosenheim Federal Police also check during border police activities whether people entering from Austria meet the required registration and documentation requirements.
Basic obligation to register and provide evidence
According to the Coronavirus Entry Ordinance When & people die from the high-risk area of Austria, you must also prove at the border controls that you have complied with the notification requirement and the 3-G verification requirement. This means that when entering from the high-risk area you have to have a digital entry registration and proof of vaccination, proof of health or a valid test certificate with you. Anyone who violates the registration or obligation to provide evidence must expect an administrative offense procedure.
Exceptions to registration or documentation requirements
There are exceptions to the basic registration and proof requirements for trips from the high-risk area Austria according to the Coronavirus Entry Ordinance: For example, cross-border commuters, people in freight traffic, people who have only traveled through the high-risk area or people who only travel to Germany for 24 hours enter, exempted from the registration requirement.
According to the Coronavirus Entry Ordinance, children who have not yet reached the age of twelve are exempt from the general obligation to provide evidence. Transport personnel, for example in freight transport, are also exempted from the 3-G verification requirement for journeys from a high-risk area.
Cross-border commuters, cross-border commuters, transients or people who only come to Germany for 24 hours, since Austria was classified as a high-risk area, need a test, vaccination or recovery certificate.
A special feature applies in particular to cross-border commuters, cross-border commuters or people who regularly only enter the high-risk area for up to 24 hours, because they renew this test twice a week, IF YOU are required to provide evidence with a test offspring.
