Athens is becoming smarter with 14 new electronic services
in total 118 now the number of digital services of Municipality of Athens after adding 14 young people, which as of today are at the disposal of its citizens.
THE sign up in the Register of Arenas, the request for deletion or the transfer certificate which, by way of example, belong to the services “High demand”, will now be provided electronics, thus facilitating the Athenians to be served in short time, avoiding any kind of inconvenience.
The digitization of services, since the beginning of the pandemic, one of the main priorities of the municipal authority, which aims to avoid overcrowding in the services of the Municipality of Athens, but also to substantially facilitate the citizens and professions of the city in their daily lives.
THE platform electronic services of citizens and professionals (https://eservices.cityofathens.gr) which is constantly developed and upgraded by DAEM SA (Development Company of Computerization and Business Units of the Local Government of the Municipality of Athens) gives the opportunity to those interested to obtain certificates, certificates and documents, with a few click from their home. Requests that were needed in the past days or even weeks in order to be processed, today are quickly completed through electronic platform.
THE correspondence is already very large and according to the data, within a period of 20 months, in total 130,000 citizens and businesses have registered on the platform. At the same time they have been processed electronically for 104 digital services, more than 128,000 applications.
“The bet for the transformation of Athens into a ‘smart’ city is being won day by day. With the 14 new services, the digital “map” of the services created by the Municipality of Athens is expanding, offering the possibility to every Athenian Citizen or Professional to be served in the best possible time, without hassle and with absolute safety. “Athens has set high the word of the new digital age, upgrading in this way the quality of life of the people who live and work in the city”, emphasizes the Mayor of Athens, Costas Bakogiannis.
What are the new online services?
To the “fan” of digital services provided by the Municipality of Athens, the services 14 are added:
- Issuance of a permit for the installation of metal barriers on the sidewalk (protective railings)
- Issuance of a sidewalk repair permit
- Issuance of a sidewalk demotion permit for the entry – exit of cars
- Issuance of a permit for occupying a common area for work – construction works
- Granting an extension of a permit for occupying a common area for work – construction works
- Return of letter of guarantee for the issuance of a permit for the occupation of a common area for work – construction work
- Construction of external branching of a property (connection to a permanent sewage network)
- Registration in the Register of Male minor children of naturalized parents
- Application for deletion from the Arena Register
- Request for correction of incorrect data
- Application for change of data due to identification of a child out of wedlock
- Application for change of data due to adoption
- Deletion from the Male Register due to a change in physical condition
- Certificate for transfer to the Arena Register
The process for issuing the certificate
To enter the platform is to use taxisnet codes. Following the instructions, the citizens submit their application to the competent address of the Municipality of Athens and then are informed electronically (via their digital mailbox) about the processing time of their request. Once the process is complete, the certificate (or document) is issued electronically.
