The conclusions that can be drawn from the dictatorship and the Polytechnic “the generation that fights without rights to become a generation of overthrow” referred to the member of the KKE Central Committee Aleka Papariga, speaking at an event on the 48th anniversary of the uprising at his Polytechnic School AUTH. The event was organized by the Central Macedonia Regional Organization of KNE.
Ms. Papariga underlined that for the KKE “every historical anniversary is not explained by the obligation to remember and learn what happened”. Above all, he added, “it is an opportunity to expand knowledge and experience, especially today when we are carrying out a broader ideological and political struggle and struggle in the lines of the movement, in contrast to the good of the JV with the slogan” Only the people can save the people “. with the KKE on the road to overthrow, in the struggle for socialism “.
He noted that the causes of the dictatorship “were primarily within the post-civil bourgeois political system that was formed from 1946 in Greece and was valid until 1967”.
Among other things, he stressed that “the colonels used the window of the 1952 Constitution that legitimized the imposition of dictatorship” and that “the military coup was supported by powerful sections of the bourgeoisie, first the naval capital and immediately after the industrial one.” .
Ms. Papariga underlined that today “the differences and contradictions between the parties of the civil administration are even more minimized in the general strategy” and “their contradictions are presented mainly in matters of tactics and competition between which party has the first say in governance or autonomous , or cooperation “.
For ND, he pointed out that “the new type of terrorist propaganda has started for the dual elections that will come, never” and “threatens that if it does not come out on its own from the first elections with the simple proportional one, instability may occur even after the second contest. . and to threaten the continuation of funding from the recovery funds “. On the other hand, “SYRIZA threatens from now on that the other opposition parties will be responsible if they do not support him in forming a co-operative government, based on the artificial separation between liberal and progressive management.”
He added that the KKE must develop a “broad systematic, well-designed and escalated ideological and political counterattack” so that a larger part of the people, the youth, understand that when the bourgeois political system has difficulties, the working people’s movement must use them as a springboard. . for a new attack and escalation and not to patch them, on the contrary to expand and deepen them “.
Regarding the rise of action by far-right and even Nazi parties and organizations, he said that “the parties defending bourgeois democracy and bourgeois parliamentarism are not only incapable of dealing with such phenomena”, but also those opposed to the labor, popular movement. The culmination, as he stated, “is the reduction to state ideology, the theory of the export of fascism and communism.”
He stressed that the call to set up anti-right and anti-fascist political fronts of cooperation, such as those promoted by SYRIZA “is also a lifeline for capital, bourgeois management, as they erode and undermine the line of anti-capitalist workers’ struggle and social alliance.”
Speaking about the role of the USA and NATO, he pointed out the need of the KKE, “in the face of the pressing economic and social problems exacerbated by the pandemic” not to omit “a multifaceted continuous enlightenment of what lies behind the slogan that all parties, ND . “SYRIZA, KINAL MERA, etc. promote the so-called geostrategic upgrade of Greece, which means political, economic and military, military involvement in the intra-imperialist contradictions on the side of one or the other side”.
“The fact that Greece has become a huge American and NATO base, that at the same time adheres to the militarization of Europe may concern many, but we are far from becoming an integral part of the daily struggle, a criterion for the anti-capitalist counterattack, the overthrow. “, He stated
“Even the former Minister of Defense of SYRIZA and ND analysts have repeatedly acknowledged that it will be difficult for us not to have allies, that we are alone, they say, even ministers. “The so-called allies will first of all demand a compromise and the assignment of sovereign rights,” he added.
Ms. Papariga underlined that the KKE “through an uphill, rugged and painful road, in unprecedented conditions after the victory of the counter-revolution, managed at the beginning slowly in the process to restore its revolutionary character”. He added that a long-term plan of action is needed “so that permanent duties are not set aside or postponed in the name of our unquestionable obligation to organize the daily struggles, to be seen by those who suffer at any moment, ready for war and pioneers”.
Before the speech, the KNE band presented a musical tribute to “Songs of the Struggle” by Mikis Theodorakis. The “present” at the event were, among others, the Thessaloniki MPs of the KKE, Ioannis Delis and Leonidas Stoltidis, as well as the member of the Politburo, Theano Kapeti.
