The young Bulgarian gastroenterologist Dr. Radislav Nakov has lost the battle with cancer. The sad news in his Facebook account is the candidate for MP from GERB-UDF and former Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov.

“Rest in peace, Radislav Nakov. I always wanted to believe that you would win!” He wrote.

During his lifetime, a terrible scandal broke out alongside the young doctor Radislav Nakov, after in November 2019 he was not selected as an assistant in the Department of Gastroenterology at MU-Sofia, as he had an oncological examination.

In July 20202, the Sofia Administrative Court tried the university. The magistrates took a decision declaring the decision of the Academic Council (AC) of MU-Sofia invalid and null and void.

“This case has become more than just a personal battle. It shows that there are mistakes in schools, sometimes

competitions are not very fair and if you are looking for rights, they cannot be allowed within the university, but you have to help in court. This case has led to some conclusions that there are still some violations, as in cases at the Medical University in Sofia, which need to be addressed, “Dr. Nakov.

My colleagues reacted with great support to me, which is also a moral victory, admitted Dr. Radislav Nakov.
