Albi: the robber of a mini-market leaves only with half of the loot he visits
An armed robbery took place this Wednesday, November 10, around 8 p.m., in the food store in the covered market of Albi.
Armed with a knife, his face hidden under a mask and hood over his head, a young man came to the grocery store of the Utile supermarket, rue Emile-Grand in Albi, under the Covered Market, this Wednesday, November 10, shortly before 8 p.m., that is to say just before the supermarket closes. The man waited until there were no more customers at the checkout. Threatening the cash register, using a bladed weapon, he urges her to give him the contents of his cash drawer.
In shock, the saleswoman complies. Bad luck for the thief, she doesn’t have the key to the second crate, the contents of which he also didn’t want. Everything happened very quickly and the few customers of the store like the colleague at the cashier, busy with other tasks, did not have time to realize anything. The shopkeeper was not injured. The police opened an investigation to try to get their hands as quickly as possible on the robber who took a lot of risks and made the person he threatened to take even more.
This Monday, November 11, the covered market grocery store reopened its doors as if nothing had happened and, on this holiday, you could see many customers flocking there. There was, in any case, much more passage than Wednesday evening, at the time of the robbery. According to employees, this is the first time that the supermarket has been the victim of such an act.
