Degree: 470 new graduates from the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences
Salzburg / Puch-Urstein / Kuchl (OTS) – 371 Bachelor and 95 Master’s students and 4 course participants successfully completed their studies at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences in autumn 2021. Numerous graduates celebrated their graduation at the graduations – which took place from November 9th to 11th on the Urstein campus in compliance with the 2-G rule.
“Graduations are an opportunity to celebrate our successful graduates and to visualize our social mission”, FH rector Gerhard Blechinger opened the three-day graduation celebrations at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. More than 400 Bachelor and Master graduates had already passed away in the summer.
In addition to family and friends, numerous guests of honor also take part in the graduation celebrations – including LAbg and FHS-AR chairman Hans Scharfetter on behalf of Governor Wilfried Haslauer. “It is a pleasure to see what contribution dying graduates make to society and the economy with their training. It needs – especially in economically difficult times – highly trained specialists and executives for companies and institutions. The FH has been making a significant contribution to Salzburg for more than a quarter of a century. “
In the 26 years of its existence, the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences has produced over 12,000 graduates. “Our bachelor’s and master’s degree programs offer the best academic training with a high degree of practical relevance. Modern infrastructure and contemporary campus life make the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences an attractive place to study. Our alumni are in great demand on the job market and are job-ready, ”reports the FH management team Doris Walter and Raimund Ribitsch.
First graduate human-computer interaction
Started in 2019/20 as a joint course of study by Paris Lodron University and Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, this October the first graduates of the English-speaking Master’s degree in “Human-Computer Interaction” celebrate their graduation. The course combines knowledge from the fields of computer science, design and psychology and the increasing demand from industry for skilled workers in the field of human-machine interaction.
Julia Neunteufel is one of the first to graduate: “I was attracted by the focus that we not only develop what is technically possible, but above all what is actually practical and useful for the user,” says the native of Upper Austria. She can perfectly combine her previous knowledge – from education studies and IT training – in the course content. As part of the master’s thesis, the 27-year-old dealt with the sensible use of technologies between medical professionals and patients.
The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences would like to congratulate all alumni on successfully completing their studies in 2021!
