Toulouse: It launches the first 100% electric driving school
The boss of William’s driving schools in Toulouse is launching the first “We are Zero” driving school on March 15, with only electric BMW Mini. It will offer five driving licenses to students affected by the economic and health crisis.
William Lemaître created his first driving school in Rodez (Aveyron), 20 years ago. He is now the head of around twenty “William’s” agencies in four departments, including one in Toulouse and one in Tournefeuille. He launched the first eco-responsible agency, equipped with five driving simulators and four electric vehicles. These cars, BMW Mini, have been the hallmark of William’s driving schools since their inception.
William offers five permits to young people in the galley
The We are Zero agency, which plans to have babies in Montpellier and Paris thanks to the contribution of investors, will open on March 15 at 2 place Saint-Sernin, in Toulouse. But from March 1, with the launch of the “We are Zero” site and the application of the same name, William Lemaître wants to give this launch even more meaning. It will offer five driving licenses to students, currently particularly affected by the Covid epidemic.
“Initially, we had to offer these permits at random, through a big game. And then I realized that currently, some young people are really affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. There are hardly any odd jobs, they struggle to pay for their student rooms, can hardly follow their studies… So I decided to offer these permits to students who really need them ”. The criteria will be based on student statements, and a dossier to submit to William and his team. People who will have to register in advance on the we-are-zero.com site (from March 1).
The cheaper automatic license
Through the launch of “We are Zero”, William Lemaître wants to bring driving school into the 21st century. “Our electric license will be the cheapest in France, at € 499, but above all the least polluting. It will include one hour of evaluation, 6 hours of driving on a simulator, and 7 hours on an electric Mini. This will give those who pass the automatic transmission license, which can then be converted into a classic license, after 7 additional hours of manual transmission training. For those who prefer to pass their license directly on the mechanical gearboxes, the first hours of driving on a simulator will provide confidence before plunging into traffic. The “We are Zero” application will allow students to view their schedule, book driving hours, and many other features.
