Student Week returns for its 16th edition
Four days, four events, and three locations. This is what has in store Student Week This year. The festival takes place from Saturday 13 to Thursday 18 November, at the initiative of the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées. This 16th edition inaugurates a new format. On the program, activities around student life and various festive events. The objective this time again will be to promote the integration of students in their territory.
Discovery of student associations
For the first day of Student Week, Saturday, November 13, young people will have the opportunity to discover the student associations of the pink city. This discovery will be made through creative workshops and games. Screenings of short films, concerts, dance performances, and dj sets are also planned. The show will be provided by student artists. The appointment is given in the Toulouse-Occitanie Crous and Ensav areas. The event will be free and open access, but presentation of the health pass is compulsory.
Orientation course in the city center
The weekend continues with, the next day at 2 p.m., a great orienteering race. This will aim to introduce the city and its monuments. Students will find hidden beacons in the city center using a smartphone with geolocation. For the more athletic, a 10 km format with will be classification set up. Wheras’a 5 km course that can be achieved by walking will be offered to stroll further. The activity will be free upon registration and presentation of the health pass.
Karaoke night at Connexion Live
Tuesday November 16, Toulouse will honor its international students with the night of students of the world. The evening will begin with a cocktail (by invitation) in the Salle des Illustres of the Toulouse town hall in the presence of Jean-Luc Moudenc. Then, international or not, students will be invited to go to Connexion Live from 8 p.m. to midnight. On the spot, a karaoke evening and a dj set.
Night at the Museum
To close the festival, the Augustinians exceptionally open their doors for an evening, Thursday, November 18. In association with Clutch magazine and the Federal University, the museum will host a myriad of artists. Dancer, organist, jazz band, DJ… A living model workshop, student-mediators, and researchers “science dealers” will also be on site. Entrance will be free for students and without reservation. On the other hand, the presentation of the health pass is once again requested.
