“Portugal de Startup in Startup” program receives applications until November 14 – News Center
The program “Portugal from Startup to Startup”, joint initiative of the Microsoft Portugal, Startup Portugal, beta-i and with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transition, there is an ongoing phase of submission of applications until the next 14th of November.
This is an initiative that aims to promote and support the decentralization of innovation and entrepreneurship in the interior of the country and islands, and is aimed at beginners technology-based and B2B Portuguese companies. like three beginners who best respond to each challenge get free access to technology a cloud of Microsoft Azure and the opportunity to develop projects with Microsoft partners.
Check out the six challenges launched by the partners:
- Corticeira Amorim – “Intelligence Algorithms for Quality Control”: The objective is to improve the quality control process of cork stoppers, through image reading using algorithms. deep learning, improving process efficiency and scaling to potential cork stoppers.
- BA Glass – “Digitalizing the production line process”: It is intended to develop a digital twin for a factory process from side to side: since the lots from raw material to glass packaging pallets. Focused on digitizing the production line and using equipment for IoT, the goal is to create a real-time view of the manufacturing process and remote access to the original systems.
- Delta Cafés – “Scanning the HORECA channel”: In order to digitize as relationships between consumers and merchants, an intention to find large-scale data analysis solutions (machine learning, Artificial intelligence, data mining and big data) generating intuitions that determine better customer loyalty goals.
- Electricity of the Azores – “IT Asset Management”: The challenge is aimed at managing IT assets at the heart of the decision process, in order to understand the current status of equipment, its allocation, its cost centers and the respective financial management.
- Casais Group – “Innovating work management on construction sites”: With the practice of implementing a work management system, the solution must include a respective allocation of tasks, responsibilities and integration with the human and financial resources management systems.
- Prio – “Citizen Awareness for Waste Management”: Developed in conjunction with Delta Cafés and Corticeira Amorim, this challenge aims to increase consumer awareness of the difference between waste (food oils, coffee capsules and cork stoppers), through the design of a digital interface.
From the 15th to the 26th of November, applications will be evaluated and selected as the best beginners technologies for each challenge. Like beginners chosen will work together with the six industry partners in a deep dive collaboration and opportunity to explore commercial synergies with different business areas of these partners.
