Futurapolis Planète, a forum for thinking about our future
After long months of confinement and restrictions linked to covid-19, “Life in front of us” is the watchword of the tenth edition of the “Futurepolis Planète” forum, organized at the Quai des Savoirs in Toulouse from 25 to 27 November next.
The meeting will be held at the Quai des savoirs in Toulouse on November 25, 26 and 27 to attend the tenth edition of the “Futurapolis Planète” forum. As every year, the newspaper Le Point invites experts from all walks of life to answer questions from the public about technological innovations, climate change and politics.
“After long months of interior travel and boredom, the demands for a free, good, and happy life multiply. But how to do this without falling back into the drifts of the past? Will separating the plastic from carrot peels be enough to save our grandchildren? », Ask the organizers who invite business leaders, public figures, intellectuals and citizens to debate on the question of the future of our planet at the Quai des Savoirs, in Toulouse.
A future to be invented
Thirty-minute conferences will follow one another during the day, this Thursday, November 25. The day will end with a debate on the theme “What if French universities were at the forefront of the climate fight?” », In the presence of the vice-president of Toulouse Metropolis Dominique Faure, the president of the University of Paris-Saclay Sylvie Retailleau and the vice-president of the Occitanie region Nadia Pellefigue.
The floor will then be given to business leaders who will present their vision of the world of tomorrow on themes such as the city, housing, energy, health or science.
Free access conferences on weekends
On Friday 26 and Saturday 27 November, the lectures will be free. Bruno Lemaire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery will be the first guest of the Quai des savoirs for an intervention entitled “What is it to be free in 2021?” “. This subject will be dealt with all the rest of the morning, in particular with the conference “Health pass, confinements, algorithms: does freedom still have a meaning today? “.
In the afternoon, specialists tackling the subjects of marine pollution, meat consumption, modes of transport, energies and cities facing the climate challenge.
Two other conferences and four speeches are scheduled for Saturday 27 November.
