Response to 2G? Vaccination demand in Salzburg increases significantly, vaccination bus record cracked
The nationwide 2G decision makes the number of those willing to vaccinate skyrocket.
The Salzburg Red Cross registered a strong rush on the vaccination bus stationed at Europark on Saturday: According to the state, 370 people had been vaccinated by the end of the vaccination campaign at 5.15 p.m. Since more than 100 other people who wanted to be vaccinated were waiting at this point in time, they were also immunized. In total, the vaccination bus received more than 470 vaccinations – a record. The previous maximum value was just under 350 vaccine doses.
That is how many vaccinations we normally get in five days

Infrastructure for vaccinations is increased
Already in the run-up to the decision on the nationwide 2G regulation, the increase in vaccination of the infrastructure available in the paths was initiated in Salzburg. In addition to the vaccination campaigns already planned, 50 additional nationwide vaccination campaigns have been scheduled, according to a spokesman for the country. The state media center emphasized that one was “always prepared to increase capacities as soon as the vaccination interest increases” and spoke in view of the willingness of the population to vaccinate. In several districts, vaccination streets can now be visited on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays without prior notification. It is still possible to book a vaccination appointment via the usual channels of the Red Cross.
