ZSSK has completed the modernization of long-distance vehicles. They also go to Prague, they get to know each other according to the Čičmanský model
The new design is from the Czech company Aufeer Design, the modernization took place in ŽOS Trnava.
The Slovak Railway Company (ZSSK) has completed one of the largest modernization projects in its history. A total of 51 Bmeer cars underwent modernization to the Bmz series worth EUR 37.8 million (967 million crowns). Modernized cars also appear on trains from Žilina to Prague.
During the modernization, the passengers received a new interior designed by the Czech company Aufeer Design. He has also cooperated with Czech Railways, for example, for a long time. As part of the modernization, the carrier was inspired by the culture, history and natural heritage of Slovakia. The folk motif of the Čičman model is represented by seat covers. The cars have wooden decor in the interior. The modernization has been going on since 2018, the carrier financed it from its own resources.
“The new interior combines modern and traditional elements, a functional environment and a pleasant atmosphere. Passengers have one more reason to prefer ecological transport. The main goal was to increase the quality of travel, “ said Roman Koreň, head of ZSSK.
The modernization took place in ŽOS Trnava. In addition to the new, for example, air conditioning, information system, the rough construction of the cabinet and bottom has been modified to increase strength. The doors are also new. In the interior, passengers will encounter anti-slip floors, sockets with USB ports, new LED lighting and new toilets. The air conditioning also regulates the output according to the CO2 concentration in the car. The modernized cars run on the expressways Bratislava – Žilina – Košice and from Žilina to Prague.
