An international electric kart championship made in Monaco
Monegasque racing driver Clivio Piccione and the MEKC team are preparing to launch the first edition of the Monaco E-Kart Championship. The kick-off will take place during three detection weekends scheduled from November 13 to 28 in the Principality.
Those detection days will be open to all, from the age of 7. Three hundred candidates are waiting. At stake: three MEKC 2022 shuttlecocks – one per age category – with a total value of € 147,000 for twelve courses scheduled for next year in Monaco, France and Italy. These courses take place in six steps on the city tours.
Identical karts for all competitors
The pilots will compete at the controls of 100% electric karts extremely efficient and with identical technical characteristics: engine power from 7kW to 25kW depending on the category, Charles Leclerc chassis by Birel Art, tires, set up and minimum weight gauge in each category.
