He has indeed announced on his networks to end his career in the public, and will now exercise the same function at the private hospital Jacques-Cartier in Massy, in the Paris region. A forced departure, if we believe the long explanation delivered by the surgeon himself, due to tensions “in recent years” with the management of the CHU.
Victim of “contempt” on the part of the administration
He mentions “many decisions taken in spite of common sense and without taking into account the opinions of people in the field, that is to say the caregivers”, decisions which are, he continues, “supported by doctors who like to be close to management ”and which have“ made our daily lives more and more difficult ”. Fabien Doguet points to the lack of listening on the part of the management, which has caused a deterioration in the working conditions of caregivers.
“[Des] the decisions made thanks to or because of spreadsheets’ emergencies in his daily life. [Des] decisions that do not take into account the alerts issued by the people in the field on the dysfunctions that this risks causing on the nursing staff, and therefore on the care.
The former head of department also of “conscious ignorance” and “contempt” he suffered, after having alerted to the difficulties and proposed solutions, which, according to him, are “blocked” by the administration. , “For fear of innovative ideas”. He ends: “It is obviously with a heavy heart that I leave this place which taught me a lot, of course, but to which I also gave a lot. “
Fabien Dot, 46, began his career in 1998 in Rouen, as an intern, before becoming, in the order, head of clinic, hospital practitioner, lecturer and university professor, and finally head of department .
Contacted, the management of the CHU did not wish to react to the departure of the surgeon.
