Genoa, homeless and extreme urban poverty, approved the new Subsidiarity Pact between third sector entities and the municipality
Genoa, homeless and urban extremes, planned activities for over three million euros financed 70% by the administration, Auxilium Foundation leader
The new Subsidiarity Pact was approved by the junta that the municipality and the third sector entities that formed themselves into Ats – a temporary association of purpose – have developed in recent months, through a co-planning to guarantee new services and interventions in favor of people. homeless or in conditions of extreme urban poverty.
The new Subsidiarity Pact is based on a system logic that provides for global attention to the various aspects to protect the person in a condition of social fragility, also in consideration of the findings during this health emergency.
The project is innovative and provides for new types of services (social emergency service, night emergency reception service, mail reception service), low threshold night reception, medium intensity night reception, light residential reception and the distribution and administration of meals and basic necessities).
The project has a duration of five years, providing for the possibility of remodeling in order to remain consistent with needs that change over time.
The total amount of the project foresees interventions in the territory for 3,737,735.32 million euros, which in the logic of co-planning will be for 70% to be financed by the municipality and 30% to be borne by the ATS.
The third sector associations that have joined are: Auxilium Foundation – which will be the leader and coordinator of the project -, Il Cesto Association, Il Melograno Cooperativa Sociale Onlus, Genoa Solidarity Center – Social Cooperative Society (CEIS), AFET Aquilone Onlus Association, San Marcellino Onlus Association, Veneranda Compagnia di Misericordia Onlus, Cri Italiana, Agorà Social Cooperative Society, Soleluna ADV Association.

We are all aware that the economic crisis first and the health crisis then have improved the old pockets of poverty and have new ones: but no one will be left behind and I want to thank not only the offices, but also the third sector associations that have been working for years on the territory”.
