Toulouse stalls again, leader but remains
At the opening of the 14th day of Ligue 2 yesterday afternoon, Toulouse conceded a second draw in a row, this time at home, against Guingamp (2-2), who continues a second match without losing with his previous success. The Toulousains, victorious only once in five last games, for a defeat and three points sharing, could have lost their place of leader of the championship if Sochaux had won. But the Doubistes, too, stalled for the second time in a row by bringing only a point from Nancy (0-0) a few hours later. ASNL remains last, but is doing better since it has lost only one of its last five oppositions (for three draws and one victory).
AC Ajaccio did not take advantage of the draw of Téfécé to return to a point of the lead and stop at two consecutive successes after his defeat in Pau (1-0). Stop also for Le Havre in Dunkirk (1-0), the Normans ending their series of ten games without losing (five wins and as many draws) and missing the opportunity to climb to third place .
For their part, the Northerners take their distance a little more from the bottom of the standings by chaining a fifth game without defeat (four wins, one draw). On the other hand, Nîmes, beaten by Niort (1-2), remains stuck there and even goes down to 17th place after losing its third meeting in a row, the ninth in a row without winning! Behind, Bastia and Amiens, who separate on a 0-0, continue to stagnate. The Bastiais remain on four complicated games (two defeats and as many draws), while the Amiénois have won only one of their last ten games.
Tomorrow (8:45 p.m.), Auxerre travels to Valenciennes with the ambition of securing a second victory, while the VAFC wants to break its series of two defeats.
