“We’re all overwhelmed by the epidemic, and while it didn’t become our happiest record, the songs sound positive and we’re full of hope for the future. The album’s title was also because we’re trying to bring back the colors, words, thoughts and sounds. into our lives ” – said Tibor Bodnár earlier.
The guest of the concert will also be Kinga Ferencz, who worked as a vocalist on previous albums, Gregorio Alto perkás, Juli Sóti, singer of Sin Seekas, Ákos Pásztor, former wind saxophonist of LB27, and Superior from Slovakia, who made his own version for several previous LB27 riddims (music-based).
Ladanybene 27, representing the roots reggae style, was formed in 1985 and is the fourteenth album of Words-Colors-Sounds. The material was composed by singer László M. Miksa and the two keyboards, Zoltán Bokó and Tamás Füri (the exception is Gábor Tóth’s “Tádé”), the permanent music is the works of Miksa and Tádé.
Among the founders of LB27, Tibor and Miksa Bodnár and the bassist István “Rasta” Hertelendi have remained to this day, joining the three wind instruments, Gábor Bolla (trombone), Zoltán Péter (trumpet) and Bence Falaty (saxophone), the already mentioned keyboardist Tamás Füri, and drummer Anna Hertelendi, the daughter of the bassist.
At the start of LB27, in the mid-eighties, he played reggae alone in Hungary. The debut album in 1991 – with Rastafari on it – has already made a name for itself. Two years later came the second disc, about which Szegegetem became a big hit. The team organizes a summer reggae camp from the beginning; the latter has grown into a festival since 1999. The band members have visited Jamaica, the genre’s homeland, several times and met the late Bob Marley band, the Wailers, several times.
