Division 2 – 4th day: Annecy close to the miraculous return
Nine games were scheduled for the weekend of Division 2.
Pool B still has its share of games to be rescheduled. Yesterday evening, the leader Valence was at rest, his trip to Courchevel was postponed to February 19, 2022. In his absence, the competitors became denser since four teams now have six points.
Roanne is the only one of these four teams to have played all of its matches. On the move among the Dragons of Poitiers, the Foxes conceded the opening scoring by Jérémy Fortin before reacting with their offensive forces Jérémy Laframboise and Tommy Beaudoin. Morgan Pagni tied the two teams for less than a minute, time for Vladislavs Leskovs to restore the advantage to his team. Charles Olivier Ouimet and Spaniard Naum Sahagun widened the gap, and the last goal of the match for Poitiers through Romain Neil proved insufficient. The Poitiers Dragons are still at zero points, but it was only their second game (3-5).
A beautiful poster from the start of the season opposed the Penguins of Morzine-Avoriaz to the Bélougas of Toulouse-Blagnac, and the match only settled in the last moments. Toulouse led twice thanks to Yanick Riendeau and Ugo Boccassini, but Morzine reacted quickly twice on goals from Tomas Marcinek and Léo Dutruel. The winning goal was scored in the last ten minutes by California defender Mark Shroyer. With this success, Morzine takes the second provisional place in the standings, just ahead of the evening’s opponent (3-2).
Just like Toulouse, the Knights of the Lake ofAnnecy failed to score a third victory in three games, after a marathon game at Colmar. Everything seemed under control for the Titans, who quietly led 7-3 after 54 minutes of play (goals from Antonin Germond, Maxime Mathieu, Alexis Hermant, Eliot Weber, Adam Benzaid and a double from Jonas Bourdages for Colmar). But while Niklas Westerlund, Victor Vitton-Mea and Hugo Moncenix struggled to keep the team in the game, the Knights came very close to an incredible comeback thanks to Jaako Heiskanen scoring in the 55th minute, at nineteen. seconds to go and then eight seconds later, but he missed a goal to go for extra time. With three goals and three assists in the match, eleven points in total, Heiskanen becomes the best in the championship (7-6).
Bottom of the table match finally in the derby between Vaujany-Grenoble and Villard de Lans, two teams in search of their first victory. Marc-Antoine Gagnon quickly opened the scoring for Villard, but the Grizzlys took the advantage with Matias Bachelet and Alexis Dogemont. At mid-match, Aubin Lamirault allows the agreement to take two goals in advance, but Villard de Lans will win the equalizer before returning to the locker room, by Eric Aurard and Pavel Kordule. Faced with the youth of Grenoble, the salvation of the Bears came from a former BDL house, Teddy Trabichet, author of the winning goal. Thanks to this success acquired in this tiny displacement, Villard de Lans takes a little air on Vaujany-Grenoble and Poitiers (3-4).
In Pool A, the outcome of the evening is that of a general tightening.
Leader Meudon was showing for a difficult trip to Valenciennes, who have built a formidable team this season. And the Red Devils to continue it still by continuing by three units after forty minutes, on achievements of Patrik Jaaskelainen twice and Zach Daneau. The Comets sounded the charge in the last period with Samu Poutanen, Baptiste Bruyas and Valérian Mathieu, but new goals at key moments for Rémi Houque and Loïc Destoop made it possible to contain this return and offer the northerners the three points of the Victoire. There is no more undefeated team in the pool, and Valenciennes returns to one point from Meudon (5-3).
Between these two teams in the standings, tied on points with the leader, we find the reserve of Rouen. The Rouen Dragons started off perfectly at Amneville thanks to Tommy Perret and Théo Gueurif, but they allowed the red dogs to return in the second act by Quentin Durand and Thomas Bimboes. The third act was that of the passage in CHAR mode… assault with five goals scored against only one (by Quentin Durand) for Amnéville. Gueurif offers himself a triple, Kaylian Leborgne, Maxime Dordet and Jonas Lemetais are the other Rouen scorers (3-7).
On the side of the Nord department, Valenciennes is not the only team to have known victory last night. Wasquehal to receive Paris for a very tight game with twists and turns. Five goals were already scored after a period of play, three for the Lions (Romain Finé, Marc-Antoine Herbet and Lucas Herrera-Mione) and two for the French Volants (Noé Gersanois and Karl Lacombe). Then the Parisians took the best in the middle third following goals from Mans Papaux and Axel Benet. The Lions returned to the front in the last ten minutes thanks to Aurélien Zajac and Pierre Vervoort, but Barthélémy Perret allowed his team to win extra time. The Northerners are doing all the same with Mattéo Toneatto, but they lose a point … or gain one depending on the time of the game (6-5 after).
The phoenix Reims had the opportunity to hang the first part of the painting by welcoming the agreement Evry-Viry, in difficulty at the start of the season. Mission accomplished even if the Ile-de-France residents started better, leading 1-3 to the first siren on two goals from Micke Niemela and one from Clément Lallemand, Jakub Matejka having for his part scored for Reims. The came in the second half, and a double from Marc-Antoine Brouillette reaction to the premises to equalize. The victory was acquired in the last twenty on a brendan Martial double and a goal from Thybaud Rouillard, Marius Decourtye being the last scorer of the agreement, still looking for his first victory in this championship (6-4).
Two of its direct competitors faced each other yesterday, Courbevoie and Angers 2, but the game was interrupted early in the second period due to impassable ice. The score then everywhere, Valentin Motreff having responded five seconds later to Adrien Sel.
