A competition for the best croissant (with butter, of course!) in the land of chocolate, that is not lacking in salt!
The best croissant in Haute-Garonne
Tuesday November 2, 2021, eight artisan bakers having successfully passed the pre-selection tests will be in the running to try to win the competition for the best croissant from Haute Garonne.
Organized by the Union des artisan bakers pâtissiers de Haute-Garonne, this competition (which will not lack flavors) will take place in the premises of the higher school of trades of Muret.
Eight finalists in the running
“A jury will decide between the eight finalists based on the taste, appearance and consistency of the croissant that they will be made in the premises of the ESM, the same day ”, explains Jean-Pierre Feuillet, president of the Union of artisan bakers of Haute-Garonne.
“What is gratifying is that there is many young craftsmen who participate in this competition, ”adds the one who has already organized the competition for the best artisanal baguette or the competition for the best galette des rois. “Each time, the economic benefits are interesting for the craftsmen who participate, especially for the one who wins the competition”, underlines Jean-Pierre Feuillet.
Which craftsman will win this new competition? Answer Tuesday!
