It is a new temple of entertainment that opened on October 15, 2021: Urban lab offers a whole new concept to Toulouse, rue Didier-Daurat.
Have a drink, dinner, dancer …
“We wanted to create a hybrid and free club, where you can simply have a drink, buy a work of art or dance the night away,” explains Matthieu Collignon, founder and owner of Urban Lab.
The places of 1000 m² previously housed an electro disco. “With the Covid, we asked nightclubs to reinvent themselves,” explains Coralie, partner of Mathieu Collignon. This is what we have achieved by doing something that looks like us. “
In the end, Urban lab is a place where you can come for a drink, dinner, see a concert, admire works of street art, buy local crafts, discover Toulouse artists and even dance until the end of the night. .
“We wanted a place where we could live an experience from A to Z, without traveling,” explains Coralie.
Four foodtrucks
On the tasting side, four foodtrucks are present at the Urban lab: So Piad’in (Italian food); the Freedmen (burgers); Occitavore (special meat cooked in a brazier) and Terra Bocca (vegetarian). Plates of cold cuts, salmon, trout and oysters can also be ordered.
The places also have a bar, with happy hours every Thursday until 9 p.m. and a regularly updated cocktail menu. Concerts by Toulouse artists, local DJ sets and themed evenings are also organized every week.
Highlighting the local scene and the creators of Toulouse
Ephemeral boxes also showcase local creators. »The caprice box will offer our customers the opportunity to take care of them. Each month we will invite a new service provider: tattoo artist, barber, masseur… explains Coralie. The box corner will host local designers and the Box The Artist will focus on street-art artists from Toulouse and surroundings. “
