Prague Airport presented the novelties of the winter flight schedule, which will enter into force on October 31, 2021. Prague will have during its validity direct flights to 92 destinationswhich will provide 47 airlines.

The main novelty is the opening of a German company base Eurowings at Prague Airport. Two Airbus A319s will operate direct flights from Prague to 13 European destinations, including the Canary Islands and Barcelona. The first Eurowings routes are scheduled to open on Sunday, October 31, when the company will begin flying to Bristol and Fuerteventura.
Low cost airline Ryanair offers direct air connections to 26 destinations. Smartwings Group they will operate connections to almost 20 destinations during the winter timetable, such as the Canary Islands, Madeira, Hurghada or Paris or Stockholm.
An interesting novelty are direct charter flights to exotic destinations such as the Maldives, Punta Cana, Mombasa, Cancun or Zanzibar. Originally, it was supposed to operate Italian Luke Air for the Čedok travel agency, which, however, suspended flights this week. On Tuesday, Čedok announced the change of carrier to the Polish LOT and its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

“We are pleased to see the renewal of previous routes, connections to new destinations and the growing frequency of existing routes. Thanks to this, we have handled over three million passengers by mid-October, and I hope that thanks to the new connections in the winter flight schedule, the numbers will continue to grow. We are far from the number of passengers from 2019, but we are not very happy with the number of destinations, ” states Jiří Pos, head of Prague Airport and adds: “In the coming winter season, we also expect an increased interest of Czech passengers in trips to exotic destinations. We are happy to be able to choose from more options and travel without a stopover or a transfer. “
With the gradual revival of air traffic, renewed connections are also returning to Prague. British Airways will renew its route to London City Airport in central London, CSA will return to the route to Copenhagen, thus flying to five destinations. Ryanair will renew its connections from Prague to Barcelona, Manchester and Paris-Beauvais. British society Jet2.com returns to Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle. Smartwings resumed its flights to Dubai.

In addition, completely new connections will be opened in the winter menu. Wizz Air offers flights from Prague to Rome, Catania and Naples. Smartwings to London. The route to Tel Aviv will also be offered in the winter offer by Israir Airlines, Blue Bird Airways and Arkia Airlines. A completely new route is the Prague – Odessa route, on which Ukrainian ones fly Bees airline. The company also offers a connection with Kiev in the winter SkyUp Airlines. British Airways will fly to London up to twice a day, with a flight to Heathrow Airport, which is especially advantageous for connecting flights to the USA. Among the companies that will fly more often than the summer schedule are Brussels Airlines, which will increase the number of flights to Brussels up to eleven times a week. Ryanair will offer the same frequency with flights to Milan, which will also increase the number of flights to Dublin, Venice, Brussels and Bologna. Flydubai will increase flights to Dubai with departures up to seven times a week. More flights will also be offered on the Transavia route to Eindhoven.
