Bobby Pierre on trial for Hibs as Jack Ross leads Strasbourg defender
Bobby Pierre was tried by Hibs.
The US defenseman trained with the Hibees first team this month in an attempt to try to impress Jack Ross.
The 19-year-old is a member of Strasbourg’s youth squad and escaped when Hibs B beat his Huddersfield Town counterparts against Huddersfield Town 4-2.
He also played in a rebound game against the Lowlands League Spartans at HTC and helped the hosts make a difference.
The Edinburgh Evening News reports that a call has yet to be made on whether or not he will be offered a deal and will continue to train for the time being.
The Florida-born central defender represented Haiti at youth level, participating in the U17 World Cup in Brazil.
It is likely that Pierre, if signed, would be used in Team B with the more senior options of Ryan Porteous, Paul Hanlon, Darren McGregor and Nathan Wood Ross in the center back.
The HIbs face Ross County tomorrow in the Scottish Premiership, ahead of a four-game losing streak after a 3-1 home loss to Celtic in midweek.
