The defendant, who was ignorant of the location, was also unaware that there was suddenly no longer a cycle path. But: He always has to expect that cyclists will be there even though he cannot see them. He spoke of “extremely high demands on truck drivers.”
The judge sentenced the previously untrained Maxim V to a fine of 1500 euros: “I cannot measure the value of a human life. But only the fault of the accused. ”
