the town hall is launching a call for projects to fight against violence
As part of its action plan in favor of equality between women and men, the Toulouse city hall is launching a new call for projects on the theme of the fight against gender-based and sexual violence. A budget of 40,000 euros is earmarked for implementation.
As every year, the Toulouse town hall is launching a call for projects as part of its action plan in favor of equality between women and men. “Given the persistence and worsening of gender-based and sexual violence, this year it is devoted to finding solutions to combat this violence suffered by girls and young women,” reveals the municipality.
The town hall, which relies on investigation by the National Institute of Demographic Studies (INED) of 2016 revealing that the majority of victims are between 15 and 25 years old, wished to have taken into account the youngest. “This is why taking action against gender-based and sexual violence among young people becomes an essential lever for women’s access to citizenship, to living together and to social cohesion”, continues the town hall.
At stake ? A budget of 40,000 euros for the implementation of the project selected by the jury, ie 15,000 euros more than in previous years.
