Darine, a young visually impaired Lyon student 21-year-old, had his backpack stolen containing his braille computer, this Monday, October 25, 2021 while she was in a bar in La Guillotière, in Lyon (Rhône) with friends.
A disaster for the law student, who finds herself unable to continue her studies while first exams of the year is in a few weeks.
But a great student solidarity was organized around the young girl: from Tuesday morning, a kitty was created on the HelloAsso platform to support Darine and help her to buy back her equipment, the amount of which rises, according to the description of the pot, “over 7,000 euros”.
Already almost 4,000 euros collected
According to Élodie Marquet, one of the organizers of the kitty contacted by Actu Lyon, on this Thursday, October 28, barely three days after the creation of the kitty, the amount collected already stands at 3,780 euros.
The student is hopeful that the fund will reach a sufficient amount, especially since the collection was relayed by the student association Corpo Lyon 3, which brings together around 9,700 people on its Facebook page. Information has also “circulated quite a bit in law school,” says Élodie Marquet.
The jackpot, that you can find by clicking here, remain open until Sunday, October 31, 2021.
